Rado Gents D-Star Watch
The unique shaped black dial is in a black toned high tech ceramic case. It is engraved with grey toned indexes and hour hands. There is a date display window at 6 o' clock. The time keeper has a case size diameter of 42 mm and it is water resistant to 100 m. The case back has been crafted with a transparent sapphire glass that reveals the movement of the time piece. It has an automatic movement and it has been crafted with a scratch resistant sapphire glass.
The history of Rado began in 1917 in the small Swiss town of Lengnau when the three brothers Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup opened the Schlup & Co. clockwork factory. 40 years later, in 1957, it became Rado Uhren AG and the first watch collection was launched under this name. It was the beginning of an unusual success story.
Since the 1980s the use of high-tech ceramic became a well-known brand identifier of Rado watches.The greatest Rado innovation to date, however, has been the development of high-tech diamond for use in watchmaking With a hardness of 10,000 Vickers the Rado V10K is the hardest watch in the world.
