In the Superstud collection the stones appear to look like gigantic rocks in bright, vivid colours, and the process the stones go through to make them appear this way is called Crystal haze. Crystal Haze is unique to Stephen Webster and is what makes his jewellery so special and sought after. The Crystal Haze method is created by layering clear Quartz over the stone, for example, clear quartz layered over black mother of pearl. This magnifies the mother of pearl and it appears to reflect off of the quartz, giving the impression that you have a gigantic solid mother of pearl stone around your neck.
