Britain's Best Rock & Roll Jewellery Brands

For many years Steffans has been the destination for over 50 up-and-coming, and world renowned jewellery and watch brands, but what makes Steffans stand out even further from the rest, is our devotion to bring you the best brands in Britain.  Brands that also blend with the influences that Steffans has been built from, such as the The Beatles, the grunge era, and …...

These short histories of our fabulous four British designers will give you a taste of how they all got started.

Stephen Webster Stephen Webster, Founder and Creative Director of Stephen Webster Ltd, is one of the leading British jewellery designers. Webster’s keen eye for detail, expert craftsmanship and glam-rock attitude has given rise to dramatic creations with an eternally chic aesthetic. Having evolved into a powerful global luxury jewellery brand, Stephen Webster now boasts over 200 points of sale worldwide and 7 boutiques internationally in London, Beverly Hills, Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev, Vienna and Marbella. Having received countless coveted jewellery awards, Webster has built a dedicated fan base and is a firm favourite with celebrities across the globe; from Madonna to Christina Aguilera, Kate Moss, Sir Elton John, Mickey Rourke and Kate Beckinsale to name but a few.

Shaun Leane Celebrated world-wide for his modern romantic jewels that push the boundaries of contemporary design, Shaun Leane began his career training at the bench in London’s jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden.  This grounding enabled him to break entrenched traditions, play with conventions and bring a fresh dynamic spirit to exquisitely crafted, fine jewellery.  While working as a goldsmith, Leane began a long-standing collaboration with the late Alexander McQueen, creating provocative catwalk jewels that have become iconic milestones in the art of couture jewellery. This high-profile collaboration acted as a catalyst to Leane’s burgeoning desire to blend technical perfection with creative freedom, and in 1999 he launched the first collections of Shaun Leane Jewellery.

Since then, Leane has been responsible for creating a new genre of jewellery; precious, poetic, with a sense of eternity, yet relevant to today’s world.   The powerful, emotive and often poignant beauty of Shaun Leane jewellery is underlined with sentiment, stories and meaning, tapping into the history and heritage of jewellery.

Theo Fennell Theo Fennell established a small workshop in Hatton Garden designing and creating silverware and then jewellery. His first shop opened in Chelsea’s Fulham Road with the founding of the eponymous company in 1982. Further boutiques opened and concessions in many of England’s most famous department stores, including Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, later these would be followed by similar boutiques across the globe, giving the company its international reputation.

Intelligent, witty design and exceptional craftsmanship are the cornerstones of Theo’s philosophy and, to ensure the highest quality, he insists most of his jewellery and silver is made by craftsmen with whom he has worked for many years.

This unique approach to every design has ensured that Theo’s highly prized creations, the result of an extraordinary, idiosyncratic imagination and dedicated team-work, are in some of the most interesting collections in the world.

Bobby White Bobby White stands out among leading British jewellery designers as being one of the few who combines craftsmanship and traditional skills, together with a flair and passion for design to create dramatic and technically complex fine jewellery.

At the age of 21, Bobby took the opportunity to acquire his own workshop in Hatton Garden enabling him to build on his growing reputation as the go-to craftsman for fine jewellery, designed with real passion. The results are technically exquisite and visually dramatic, lauded not just by his clients but, as importantly, his industry.

As Bobby’s reputation has grown, he has been approached by a roster of international stars to design and make pieces, including Prince, JayZ, Beyonce and Rihanna, showing Bobby’s youthful and fresh approach to design with technical perfection.

What these established designers all have in common is that they all started off at London’s famous jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden and Steffans are proud to stock all of their collections.

We hope that you enjoy the new Steffans experience.  Why not send us your feedback to; we’d love to hear from you.
