STAR SIGNS - IT'S LEO'S TIME

As the ‘King of Beasts’, the lion has represented strength and nobility to people from almost all cultures throughout history. The mane of the male lion of reminiscent of the golden rays of the sun – yet another reason why the star sign Leo is fitting for people born in the summer months of July and August.

Not surprisingly, those born under the sign of Leo are said to embody many of the qualities attributed to the lion. As with any star sign, these qualities can be positive or negative; for example, Leos are said to be brave, loyal, generous and ambitious, not to mention confident. Leadership comes naturally to most Leos, but having said that, they can also be vain, pretentious and obstinate. In some cases, their confidence can turn to bossiness, making them appear domineering and even pompous.  The Zodiac element of Leo is fire, further enhancing the passionate disposition of those born under the sign.  The delicate olive green gemstone peridot is the birthstone for August and therefore for much of Leo, exerting strangely cooling influence on the heat and intensity that is the lion.

Constantly searching for adventure and hoping to make an impression on all they meet, Leos tend to be successful in friendships and at work. Generally balanced and kind, they do not bear grudges and their resolve and likeability sees them achieve career goals.  The Zodiac sign Leo is governed by the sun, an immense energy source, vital and awe inspiring - much like Leos aspire to be. As partners, those born under this sign are true romantics and are steadfast and faithful – as long as partners can deal with their fiery nature and occasional haughtiness!

Just some of the many celebrities born under the sign Leo include Barack Obama, Daniel Radcliffe, J-Lo, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Halle Berry. Even this short list provides several prime examples of how Leo’s can come to be leaders in their field.
