But whilst many historical styles get lost in the depths of time, in 2017 there’s going to be one new release from TAG Heuer that will ensure watch enthusiasts from around the world will have to dream no longer. That watch is the exciting new TAG Heuer Autavia.

Following on from a public survey of style enthusiasts created by TAG Heuer to find out everyone's personal feelings on their favourite Autavia watch, TAG Heuer have begun work on 2 exciting new timepieces that are set for release in Steffan’s stores this March. As a racer’s watch that was developed in 1960s along with the Carrera and the Monaco, it’s one of the Heuer's “Big Three” and has long been renowned for its clean and sophisticated style.

Born in 1962, the Autavia Chronograph is named after a series of “Automobile” and “Aviation” dashboard timekeepers launched 30 years prior. Made for racing enthusiasts, it was a popular choice among Formula One drivers, who adopted the watch during the 1960's and 1970's for its sleek and sizable case.

Whist these new Autavia watches feature a 42mm case compared to the original 38mm design, the styling, movement and features of this new Heuer Autavia watch takes on much of the same characteristics as its 60’s and 70’s relation. Available with a 7-row Stainless Steel Bracelet or a Brown Leather and White detailing buckle strap, this exciting new chronograph automatic timepiece beautifully reflects the stunning design of an authentic Autavia timepiece.

Aside from the unique straps of each new watch, the new Autavia 02 is built around a contemporary black dial main face with contrasting white chronograph dials. The minute and hour hand are designed using the finest polished steel with classic cream luminescent end notes, all of which is encompassed by a fine, brushed stainless steel case.

The front is then finished with a sapphire crystal front and black bi-directional bezel that features fine white numerals. The whole watch has then been finished with TAG Heuer’s empeccable attention to detain with beautifully crafted steel buttons and a logo emblazoned screen fastened back.

Such unique style is what makes TAG Heuer watches so unique, but with the new Autavia, TAG really have pushed the boundaries further than ever before. If you'd like to see these exciting new TAG Heuer watches and would like to be the first to pre-order one, please visit
